Some Facts About Robots
Robots are mechanical machines and devices combined with computer technology to enable them do do tasks that are too dangeroes, difficult or boring for humans. Generally we think of robots as having a human or animal like form but in factories their form is a matter of their function.
As robots become more sophisticated they are now being used not only in factories but also in homes. A great science fiction writer named Isaac Asimov devised the three laws of robotics.
1.A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.
2.A robot must obey the orders given to it by human beings, except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.
3.A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.
