About Hair Bows
The first known appearance of the hair bow seems to have been in the 18th Century when they were worn by both men and women. Hair styles among European aristocracy were very elaborate and included decorations such as flowers, bows, and even fruit!
At the time, womens hair bows were smaller and more subtle, while a man often wore a powdered wig with a pig tail tied with a bow.
ince then, hair bows have never really gone out of style ever since, though the size, placement, and styles have changed according to the whims of fashion.
