About Cranes
A crane is a machine that lifts and lowers materials and objects. It is suited to the construction and building of towers and bridges. The crane uses hoists, ropes, chains and hooks suspended from a long metal arm and winch.
Cranes may also be used by rescue services to reach people trapped in hard to reach places. Cranes are a very old form of technology first used in ancient times.
