About Ponies
A pony is a small horse of which there are many different breeds. In general ponies have shorter legs and wider middles. Their hair or mane and coat is also thicker.
Ponies were originally used for transport and freight cartage but after the industrial revolution and the development of the motor vehicle ponies are now largely used for recreation and as pets. Some less developed countries still use ponies as work animals.
