About Clowns
A clown is a type of performer who dresses and acts in a humourous and silly way to make people laugh. Each clown has his or her own distinctive costume and colouring.
Clowns are used in circus shows between acts to entertain the audience. Some clowns have a dangerous job in Rodeos to distract a bull from a fallen rider. Other clowns are used for birthday parties and may be able to do simple magic tricks.
